Motown 50 Adult Contemporary Broadcast PR & Pitch

Universal Music Group - July 01, 2009

Contracted by the Universal Music Group to write and produce three separate broadcast documentaries celebrating Motown Records' 50th Anniversary in 2009, they also encouraged me to co-host the programming as well. The production benefits this afforded me were incalculable as I was able to make script changes and voice them, literally, right up to final deadline. My co-host for the first, epic, eight-hour show was Smokey Robinson, and the lovely Mary Wilson, founder of the Supremes, partnered with me on the second. Lionel Richie was scheduled for show number three, but on the heels of the sudden, tragic death of his good friend Michael Jackson, he opted out, leaving me to fly solo.
